Love your San Francisco Yoga Studio but don’t love the pain

Attending a yoga class can cause pain that prevents you to sticking to your yoga routine. But isn’t this why we go to yoga? To feel good, feel relaxed.. not to have pain. A friend of mine started up Bikram yoga recently. She called me to ask me how come she was having back pain during her single leg poses. It scared her so she stopped. She was even afraid to go running again.

This happens to many people. They usually take a break or completely stop the fitness activity in fear of pain. But pain is a great thing to have sometimes. In the case of simple pain during a yoga pose, pain could be a signal that you are doing something wrong.

So next time you have pain, try to go within. Listen to every little instruction the teacher is saying. Do your routine with love, it’s the only body you have.
